The communication programme accompanying the start of construction of Emonika, a major mixed-use development in Ljubljana, was designed to introduce the project to the wider public and highlight its importance for the future development of the city. The programme combined an official groundbreaking ceremony for key stakeholders with a free evening concert in the city centre, intended for the residents and visitors of Ljubljana.
Communication activities also included an outdoor campaign, radio advertising, and promotion across Facebook and Instagram. The project generated extensive media coverage, resulting in 108 media publications across 88 different outlets, while the evening concert attracted between 10,000 and 15,000 visitors.
Tina Žitnik, Senior Marketing and Public Relations Manager, said upon receiving the award: “The Prizma Award represents an important recognition of our work to date and confirms the excellent cooperation and dedication of all the teams and partners involved in the project. Together, we have succeeded in bringing Emonika closer to the wider public and presenting it as an important development project. At the same time, this recognition is also additional motivation for the future – there are still many key milestones ahead, where we aim to maintain the same level of quality, cooperation, and ambition.“
The award-winning communication programme accompanied the official start of construction in May 2025, when the Emonika project formally entered the implementation phase. This milestone further established Emonika as one of the key development projects in the Slovenian capital. Construction is progressing according to schedule, and the project remains one of the most significant urban developments in central Ljubljana. Upon completion, Emonika will combine a shopping centre, residential units, office spaces and two hotels. Completion of the development is scheduled for the end of 2027.
